This is usually caused by a faulty HP driver. (Hint: make sure to download the "full package" drivers). Microsoft has released a "fixit" program for this error. Download it here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324757 When you run the fixit tool, there will be two options. Light mode makes changes to the spooler that should not require you to make any additional changes. Full mode will restore the print spooler to default settings and require that you reinstall your printers.
